These five maxims are the foundation of this space I’ve built — and the path I strive to follow.
My journey began with a firsthand awareness of the power of language.
As an undergraduate majoring in broadcasting, I was given a stage and a microphone. From hosting under the spotlight to voice acting in the studio, I realized that language is not merely a vessel for information — it is an art of shaping consensus and constructing context. Yet I grew increasingly curious: why does the same expression evoke entirely different echoes across cultures? How do cultural genes inscribe invisible boundaries into communication?
To explore these questions, I stepped out of my comfort zone and came to Boston University to pursue a master’s degree in Media Science. Through the lens of academia, I seek to understand the deeper structures of communication — especially in the realms of international and cross-cultural exchange. I’ve come to see that communication is not only a skill, but also a framework of power and narrative: it shapes national images and determines whether individuals can bridge divides and achieve genuine empathy.
Today, I find myself working on the front line of insurance and retirement planning.
My daily work is concrete: making calls, initiating conversations, inviting people to events — and being rejected, repeatedly. In this setting, no one cares whether your theory is complete. People care about three things:
- Who are you?
- Can I trust you?
- Why does this matter to me?
I began to realize that this is a more fundamental form of communication: building trust under uncertainty.
Insurance, in this sense, is no longer just a product. It becomes a way of discussing risk, time, and choice.
The gap between theory and practice is far greater than I once imagined. I have worked as a director and in project management, and I am used to navigating different roles. But now, I increasingly see my work as something simpler:
acting as a translator between different ways of thinking — turning abstract problems into understandable choices
Writing is where my thoughts take shape. I write notes and reflections — sometimes on society, sometimes on the industry, and sometimes on everyday observations.Yet they all circle back to one question:
How do people make decisions in an uncertain world?
I do not claim to have found the answer. Instead, I see myself as someone constantly revising my understanding — thinking through theory, and testing it in reality.
“Jack of all trades, master of none” is how I sometimes describe myself. But if I must define it more precisely, I am someone who learns continuously, thinking in theory, and accumulating in practice —seeking to create a sense of certainty within uncertainty.
This is why I built this site: to document a process — a process of translation.
